HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

As a seasoned mom I have been gifted many handmade gifts. I’m certain all moms have and while we love the macaroni necklaces and handprint paintings here is another fun DIY project for those parents that are feeling a bit more crafty this upcoming Mother’s day. I have always walked by the raw wood section […]

I always love using original pieces of artwork in the rooms I design. There is just something so amazing about finding that artist that totally gets you and getting to pick a piece that seems like it was meant for you and since it’s an original you have the only one! I’m luckily enough to […]

Happy Valentine’s Day! All around us I’m certain that many people are receiving customary red roses bouquets for this love filled holiday! Jon knows that A. I’m not a fan of pre-made arrangements and B. red roses are not my cup of tea. So, typically I don’t receive any flowers on the 14th. I would […]

My baby sister is a single girl living in Manhattan. When we were working on her apartment I knew I had the ability to get a little more girly in the decor than I typically do with a client. Don’t worry I didn’t go around throwing pink and glitter everywhere, but I did have fun […]

I love etsy. It’s one of my go to sources for gifts. I’m constantly on there picking up artwork, jewelry, baby items, home decor and paper goods. It’s amazing, but it’s also overwhelming due to the massive amount of shops that are available. So, when I find a great shop I love to do an […]

orange and purple abstract artwork

A while ago Jon and I use to run an art shop on Etsy. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed working on abstract art pieces together. I would pick out the color stories for each piece and then Jon would make the actual painting. As time went on I decided to […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
