HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

neutral and glamorous bedroom design

I know I’m a color lover and as a decorator many clients come to me because they love color just as much as me, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a neutral space where whites and creams take center stage. I always tell Jon that I wish we could have multiple houses so I […]

Last week I shared my one of my sister’s apartment reveal. I made sure to have it photographed before they moved and I made sure to do the same with my baby sister’s apartment as well. You see while Jon and I were getting ready to move out of our first house and move in […]

Feminine & Glam One Bedroom Reveal

gray malin artwork in kids room

Almost done with the home tour and then we will go back to our normal schedule here. The main reason why we sold our house was to get into a better school district in time for Hudson to start Kindergarten, but an additional reason was lack of bedrooms. Our house was classified as a custom […]

Home Tour: Boys Room!

crane & canopy bedding

My entire life I have woken up sprung out of bed to make my bed. Ok maybe not immediately. I have been known to hit snooze on the alarm clock and then officially woken up 15 mins later and before doing anything else I have made my bed. It’s a habit that started early on. […]

feminine bedroom style plan

I think I’m going to start making Wednesday’s all about Style Plan’s. Just a little glimpse into my design process and design style. Today we are tackling a master bedroom that wants to be feminine and floral, but not at all like Laura Ashley and dated. No. 1: This lucite four poster bed is a […]

pops of color bedroom

Years ago when my parents were ripping me away from streets and Manhattan for our new life in the suburbs the only plus in my eyes was that I was getting my own room! Not only was I getting my own bedroom, but I was able to pick out the paint color, furniture and all […]

From Childhood Bedroom to Guest Room

cobalt blue nightstand

With the new year I have been a mad woman getting the house in order. I always try to keep everything in order because I tend to be a little OCD, but after having kids it can be hard. I have learned to deal with most of the house being in a somewhat state of […]

New Year, New Bedding!

preppy bedroom

This isn’t my typical style plan, because instead of focusing on a whole room I decided to solely focus of the bed part of a bedroom. My whole plan started because I found this trellis headboard. I loved the chippendale style feel to it and the scalloped corners. Here is what I came up with: […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
