HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

greek key rug

You know I love to share a good source. There are no designer secrets with this lady! I’m not even sure how I stumbled upon 1 800 GET A RUG, but I’m certain it’s going to become a new go to source for me especially with Persian rugs. The rug that I’m most lusting after […]

preppy designer emily mccarthy

This was a fun pattern play to tackle because I got to go a little bolder than I normally do. Correction I would go this bold in my own home, but with clients I tend to tone it down a little. This pattern play though was for a client requesting a little help in zhushing […]

girly nursery with global accents

I love designing nurseries! There is such excitement when a new baby is entering a family and a crucial piece of welcoming a new addition is where the new addition will reside. It’s also fun design wise because you tend to design them in so many different directions. My latest style plan for a nursery […]

Pattern Play: Blush, Navy & Sage

Hi All, Hope you all had an amazing weekend! Ours was filled with a little work and a good amount of relaxation which is always nice. I started Saturday bright and early at Ikea picking up some items for a client. Of course I made a little pit stop at the pick and mix candy […]

Scenes from my weekend…

Custom furniture without a crazy mark up? Is that even possible in the world of interior design. I honestly never really thought it would be. As an interior designer nyc area a lot of the items that I source for a client are custom made. Why? Because it helps me give the client exactly what […]

Custom sofa with Interior Define

It felt like Spring this weekend in NY and we were busy little bees! We started our Saturday by hitting what felt like a million one and thrift shops looking for props. The parenting coop where the boys take classes and I’m a board member is hosting a gala in March and I’m in charge […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
