HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

look for less gold and glass shelving unit

I love finding a good deal that I must share right away! A gold and glass etagere or bookcase/shelving unit has become a must have in home offices and living rooms. They are chic and carry little visual weight with the glass shelves. So, you can fill them with styling goodies and they won’t over […]

peacock rattan headboard

I love the touch of whimsy that peacock rattan headboards add to a space. Typically they are vintage finds that can cost a pretty penny. Most times they are white, but you can now spy them in many different colors in bedrooms throughout the land! Serena & Lily Seahorse Headboard: Retails for $495 plus $200 […]

Look for less: Peacock Rattan Headboards

For me design really is in all of the details. One of my favorite details on window treatments is a band of color in a contrasting color. I love this done in roman shades, but it can be pricey to have this done in a workroom. Typically I source ready made options for clients at […]

I was prepping for a photo shoot a couple of weeks ago and I really wanted some extra large lanterns. I thought they would look perfect in my outside setting, but also work really nicely around my fireplace afterwards. After some hunting I found the perfect ones at Restoration Hardware. For the size I wanted […]

Get the Look: Design Darling

I could spend $3,000 and pick up this beautiful Madeline Weinrib Tibetan Brooke Rug, but then I would have no more money to decorate the rest of the room. Or I could just spend $372.29and still have money in the bank with this look for less option: Now I still have total love and devotion […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
