Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Ok, so I guess it’s not going to be a secret anymore, but I have a new thrifting obsession that I’ve been hooked on for the last couple of weeks. I know it might not be new for some people, but it’s something I had forgotten existed! So, what’s my secret thrifting source? Well it […]

I’m feeling all of the Christmas love this year. I’m all about the decor, cookies and cozy coordinating Christmas pj’s. Last year me and boys all had red and white striped pj’s and this year I decided to go with red, green and white plaid. I had to share an amazing score I found today. […]

Make up is something that I really love, but don’t normally splurge on. My make up bag consists of drug store make up finds and the occasional mix of higher end make up. I’m all about a high/low mix in my decorating and also my make up bag. Here is a gift guide for the […]

Holiday Gift Guide: Beauty Fanatic

A couple of weekends ago I was in Southampton, which is such a charming town. If you are ever on Long Island I highly recommend taking a trip out east and checking it out. Adorable shops and restaurants are sprinkled throughout. It reminds me of Carmel, California. I hadn’t been in a while and since […]

One Kings Lane Showhouse

This weekend was action packed! The most exciting part was getting to go out with Asher to get our nails done. Now, as a boy mom I try and be really gender neutral. I never want my boys to think that dolls are just for girls or pink isn’t for them. Even though I have […]

Scenes from my weekend…

A while ago I stumbled upon Paige Gemmel on instagram. I became obsessed with her beautiful paintings. Her work is colorful and chinoiserie inspired. She has beautiful pieces with animals and ginger jars. She especially loves elephants, monkeys and zebras. You all know how much I love a good elephant so I was always tempted […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
