HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

The lovely Alek from, From the Right Bank to the Left Coast recently tagged me. Here are the rules: 1. Respond and rework. Answer the questions on your blog, replace one question you dislike with a question of your own invention; add a question of your own. 2. Tag eight other un-tagged people. What is […]

I’m it!

As of late I’ve been writing about my office quite a bit. I recently did a massive spring cleaning to it as you all remember from this post. I was considering switching up the color and doing a massive re-vamp of the space, but since I actually liked the bones of what was in place […]

Curtain Call

In a home a staircase is often forgotten in decorating. I can admit that for my first year of living in my new home I didn’t really give it much thought. The stairs just got me from point A to point B. Now that in the stages of finalizing (for the time being) the rooms […]

Well if you haven’t been living under a rock then you know that when I refer to Twilight I’m not talking about a time of day, but about the madness that Stephenie Meyers produced with her Twilight Saga. I’m normally one that likes to follow  the beat of my own drummer. I don’t like following […]

Twilight hour

So I haven’t gotten around to watching last night’s episode of Real Housewives of NY so this is probably already old news for everyone else, but I just went on to Bravo to waste more time of course before I actually got any work done today and saw this: New Season: Real Housewives of New […]

Everybody loves a Jersey Girl!

Many of you already know that I’m in the process of re-designing my master bedroom. I already picked a new paint color, have new bedding, collected art work to frame, painted a little more green on an old credenza I’m trying to bring back to life, got new over head lighting and even switched out […]

Designer SOS

I don’t know what it is about Anthropologie, but I always want whatever is in their stores. The second I step into one I’m checking out not only what is new in stock, but what the store displays look like. I love the way they set up all their home items, because they always make […]

Like a moth to a flame

One of my favorite activities on Sunday night is to drive around town and see if anyone is getting rid of anything good. I don’t do it every Sunday, but if we are driving around doing errands I always sneak a peak and see what my neighbors are tossing to the curb. Last Sunday I […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
