Suzani Seating Nook

I was recently amazed by the price point of this stunning chaise.

It’s only $449.99, which is an amazing price point!!!! It has a great block print type pattern on it, detailed legs, and grey accent piping. Ah it was true love. I currently don’t have a use for it in my own home or for a client, but I had to put together a little seating area with it.

The main focal point of the space is the suzani, which is currently going on ebay for only $32.  Suzani’s are wonderful to use on large empty walls. If you hunt ebay you can typically find them for a budget friendly price. I’ve never had to pay more than $120 for one plus they add a vintage touch to your space. The easiest way I’ve found to hang them is to staple an edge of them to a piece of wood the same length as it and then install it on the wall with a french cleat.

I love the little peeks of pink in the suzani and wanted to make some additional pretty in pink moments by adding a pink hand knotted Tibetan rug and a zebra crewel pillow. The addition of crewel work in the people really helps solidify the global feel in the space.

Since every seating nook deserves a perch for you to place your drink this bone tiled side table fits right in. Of course I had to find a little teeny elephant to accessorize the table.

I’m ready to grab a good book and enjoy the chaise.
