Ralph Lauren Style Soiree

Ah the beginning of July means another summer style soiree! We have already enjoyed sharing our favorite projects inspired by Kate Spade and Lilly Pulizter and today we get to be inspired by Ralph Lauren.

When I think of Ralph Lauren the first words that pop into my mind are classic, all-American yet well traveled, traditional and warm. RL always leans towards the more masculine side of design, which is I style I don’t 100% live in, but do enjoy working with.

Most of more RL inspired projects have ended up in Jon’s man den. One of my favorite pieces was a dresser we picked up from someone’s trash pile. With a little hard work, paint and grasscloth we turned this:

Into this:

rlafterdresser

I love it! The grasscloth drawer fronts add a dose of texture to the piece and the high gloss jet black paint job really amps up the glam factor making it the perfect pairing.

Get more details on the project here!

I’m ready to link this project to the link party what about you?

All of the links from my fellow co-hosts:
Heather from Southern State of Mind
Carmel from Our Fifth House
Sheaffer from Pinterest told me to
Jenna from Rain on a tin roof

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Plus their readers will also be popping up on this link party.

  1. I wrote my blog post before reading about this link party, but it was just too perfect not to share! The tufted green leather sofa I found on Craigslist recently now just screams “Ralph Lauren” to me, after reading your blog post and visiting the other host’s pages.

  2. Sarah says:

    Love this dresser! Nicely done.

  3. i’m working on a similar project right now — thanks for the additional inspiration :)
