Style Plan: Beachy Bedroom

Anytime the temperature starts rising I always start wishing that we had a beach house. How fun would it be to be able to get away every weekend to a home that is just steps away from the water and relax in the sunshine? Of course when I start day dreaming about beach houses I start day dreaming about how I would design rooms in said beach house.

Typically when one thinks beach house you may think of light blues, whites and all things nautical. I took a bit of different approach in my recent style plan. Using a color palette inspired by one of my favorite paintings from
Teil Duncan I got to work.

beachy bedroom

Painting: Bocce Business by Teil Duncan
Bedding: I’m sort of obsessed with Crane and Canopy.I’m a big fan of high end bedding that is a friendly on the wallet. So, of course I had to pick the Vista Lilac duvet that had little peeks of lilac.
Lighting: Malibu Chandelier from Serena and Lily
Headboard: Kate Upholstered Headboard by Ballard Designs
Pillows: Ribbon trimmed pillows and La Fiorentina lumbar pillow
Rug: Overdyed rug that is currently 75% off
Accent Table: Faux Agate table from Target for only $59.99!

I loved pulling all of my colors from the painting and feel that even though I used more jewel tones it still reflexes an airy beachy space.

So, now who is going to buy me my beach house or at least invite me over to theirs for the weekend?
