HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I’m working with Poland Spring Brand Nature’s Blend on a campaign for celebrating naturally, because a little taste of nature can be a lot of fun. Since the end of the week is upon us I figured I would treat myself to a little celebration as part of this campaign and the beginning of the […]

Easy Friday Face Mask

A couple of weeks ago we had a garage and it was exhausting. From gathering all of the items to setting everything up and then dealing with loads of people that thought we hosting own version of a dollar store we were wiped by the end of the day. Wiped and we still had a […]

Viyet: A new way to get rid of second hand items

I love picking up the NYTimes Sunday paper and pulling out my favorite sections like the Style section along with the wedding announcements and of course a look through the travel section to get ideas for new dream destinations. I love seeing the feature on 36 hours ______. It’s always interesting to see the places […]

36 Hours

The sweet folks over at True Value contacted me a couple of weeks ago asking me to share a project on how to keep a family heirloom alive through a DIY project. I knew just the project to showcase. I don’t have any baby clothes from my childhood, but I thought it would be neat […]

$100 Gift Card to True Value!

Summer get-aways are now making room for road trips to drop off children or your siblings off at college. I can still remember the endless roadtrips with many personalities and items jammed into a car. After the long drive, fights with your sisters and screams directed at your parents for getting off at the wrong […]

Get the Look: Design Darling

I tend to pride myself on being an excellent gift giver. I really try to think about the person I’m shopping for and find just the perfect thing. Typically if you told me you wanted something it’s immediately off my list, because I want to surprise you with something that screams you, but you didn’t […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
