Often times you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince, well this same adage held true for me during my quest for a web designer.
I have been through 4 web designers these last couple of months and had yet to find the perfect fit! I would totally recommend all 4 to other people, but for me we just didn’t mesh well together.
A couple of weeks ago I was filled with tears after another failed attempt with a web designer and at my witt’s end trying to figure out how I was going to get my business site launched and get a new look to the blog!
Enter Front Porch Studio which is run by Jessica Graves editor of The Love List one of my favorite blogs. We hit it off right away and after seeing some pictures of her studio I’m certain that we are a perfect fit!
Here is a little peek into the studio:
{Ah Kate Spade ballerina flats! Totally a girl after my own heart.}
{I spy a Rubie Green pillow in one of my favorite patterns!}
{Talk about an inspiration board. I just wanted to grab everything through the computer screen!}
{Elephants are one of my favs so it was great to see that Jess agrees! How cute is her little guy on the coffee table!}
{Good girl with a touch of zebra brought into the room by the book, I MARRIED ADVENTURE.}
{Ghost chair! Enough said. Totally sealed the deal that we are meant to work together.}
{Not only does Jess do web design, but her design services include stationary and invites as well.}
I think you can tell by seeing a peek into her studio that this will be my final web designer to work with. I’m so excited to see everything come together. We’ll be working on the business site first and then moving onto the blog re-vamp!
Jessica's studio is amazing and she is so sweet and talented! So glad you finally found the perfect fit. She is currently working on revamping my blog and I am super excited to see what she comes up with!
Congrats on finding the perfect fit! Her studio looks amazing, I love all the details that you pointed out. And her inspiration board is fabulous! Can't wait to see the final results!
You know I think your blog is really great! You have a way of making things look fun and fresh on a dime! Jessica has a wonderful studio and the right fit is so important! Wishing you all the best. Happy sequined shoes, we must see a day in her shoes….. unless of course I missed that post already! pve
Hi there, so finally you found the right fit!I totally empathise having had the same happen, 1 designer I signed up with took what I had offline, with out saving my exsisting site, leaving me with nothing and vanished into thin air!I even paid for my husband and myself to go on a course to learn how to design our own, but it was the first time it was being run and needless to say money was thrown down the drain and us guinea pigs did'n't enjoy the ride!! We have elephants in common too by the way,any who am now on the write path hopefully and 5th time lucky! Fingers crossed for us both!!!Its a great feeling when it all comes together! Sharon xxxoo
Her coffee table and desk are like heaven! Fantastic you found your match! Can't wait to see what you two come up with. Any idea when your new look will launch?
WOW everyone has been so nice about my studio! I love it in there 🙂 Rachel – yep it is a zebra rug on the floor. And Camila, check your email – there is a logo proof awaiting you 🙂
Given that I'm sitting in my "studio" aka cubicle at work–I am pretty sure I would give almost anything to have a workspace this serene, chic, and inviting. It would make doing actual work SO much easier!

ON THE BLOG
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
