Weekend Recap: Woot, woot!

  1. LindsB says:

You will have to post a review of the roomba when you get it. I've always wanted one but was never quite sure of how well they would work. Do tell us when you use yours 🙂

  2. nicole says:

I completely understand about the Woot roomba…I did that same thing! Waited and waited & finally got one. We have a dog, and it's awesome for the pet hair. You will love it!

  3. Amanda @ Serenity Now says:

I would NEVER have imagined that a new vacuum would make my day…until I got married, got a dog, and had kids. Our new vacuum that we got over the summer was like the best thing ever. 🙂 Love your sisters' costumes.

  4. Katie says:

LOVE the costumes. I don't think I have much faith in the roomba! I would love to hear how it works!

  5. Karen@StrictlySimpleStyle says:

Maybe I should get one of those Roombas. My dog wags his tail and with all the hair left behind it looks like a small animal laying on the floor.

  6. Dallas says:

I'm holding out for the Roomba that sweeps, mops, does laundry and cleans toilets. I ask for too much.

  7. Sarah - La Jeune Marie says:

Please post a review! I have always wondered if these are "too good to be true"!

  8. Lauren says:

oh tell us how it works!!! i've heard they're great!!!

    xoxoxo

  9. Lauren says:

    ps- sissys look adorable!!

  10. Holly says:

the rockford peaches!!! what an awesome costume idea, i absolutely LOVE it.

  11. my favorite and my best says:

a roomba is indeed something to be excited about. i should get one too. 2 cats and an old house mean more than enough dust for my vaccum. he needs a girlfriend.

  12. Catbird says:

Adore my Roomba, definitely worth a woot, woot. Only problem I've had is that it doesn't like black rugs, so we had to put blinders on its sensors (http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?t=7933). We only use it downstairs, so not a big deal, and if we want to use it upstairs we can always use virtual walls to prevent it from falling.

  13. Daniela says:

Haha is it wrong that I did my laundry last night and the first thing I wanted to put back on was my single ladies leotard? Wearing it at work with jeans.

thanks for the cameo Camila, and you actually just made some of my friends purchase a roomba.

    love ya!

  14. pve design says:

let me know how those shedders like the roomba?
I can imagine my beast would be saying woof woof.
    pve

  15. Averill says:

I've been sorely tempted to get a Roomba myself (we have TWO cats and a dog!). Let me know how it works out for you!

  16. Christen says:

Yay for getting excited abou vacuum cleaners – because I totally do too!

  17. Paige says:

    Cute, cute costumes!

  18. Blueprint Bliss says:

You make me laugh. I'm the same way- I would get that excited over a vacuum cleaner! 🙂

  19. paula says:

let me know how it works. I have been pondering with the idea of getting one.

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]

new-farrow-and-ball-paint-color-picks-for-my-house

Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]

What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
