  2. Henley on the Horn says:

FAbulous hotel! Can I go too? 🙂

  3. I am Stacey... says:

That's the coolest hotel ever! I should have stayed there when I was in Edinburgh, instead of in a crowded hostel!

  4. ~Chandelier No. 4~ says:

Was it the pinstriped elevator – or all of the drinks under those ultra cool lights that made me so dizzy?

    VERY cool hotel pick!

    ~ Joanna

P.S. Thanks for your kind comments… I posted my very 1st BEFORE and AFTER today!

  5. Miss Wendy says:

    Oh Camila,
I love this idea…. since we are both "working" now, can we use the trip as a discovery trip or inspiration journey or something like that????
Oh, I can check my TJMaxx tomorrow for plates ….

  9. Lauren Jade says:

I'm sorry…is that in Scotland!? I've been there so many times because my whole family is from scotland/england. I want to go THERE though! that hotel is absolutely fantastic. Rachel Zoe would DIE in that hotel!? xoxo oh and I've started a new blog: Young Sexy Rich! at

  10. Amanda says:

Thanks for such a dear sweet comment on my recent post about the new year. It's amazed me how lovely and humble the women in blogland are. Seriously, friends, even if only through the computer. 🙂

As for this hotel… wow, thanks for the quick get-away daydream.

As for those cute dishes, I saw someone offered to help you in your hunt, and TRUST ME, I know what this is like so next time I'm at a TJ Maxx/HomeGoods/Marshall's (I'm a regular at all of the above) I'll look for them for you. I would he thrilled to help someone (you) find something you're dying to have. I, just today, FINALLY found THE coffee table I've been wanting. Be sure to stop by and check it out… I'll have a warm cup of coffee ready. 😉

  11. LindsB says:

i need to get away so bad right now- I know we are supposed to come back to work this week being all rested and ready to hit the road running….as my boss says. But this sucks, I hate this right now- I dont want to "hit the road running" anywhere I want to crawl back into bed right now 🙂

  12. Kristin says:

I'm down. I'd go just to visit that gorgeous bar!

  13. Anna See says:

What a fun and funky hotel!

  14. Averill says:

I love a good virtual vacation and this is a great one! Dave and I are actually going to Scotland this coming summer and I would KILL to stay at the Hotel Missoni…but unless it goes on serious discount, I may just have to content myself with a drink at their bar!

  15. HAMPTON HOSTESS says:

wow I would love to stay there–so chic and not a plaid in the bunch!

  16. Stephanie Sabbe says:

so fun! I think vacations would be more fun if we always stayed at a place with super cool interiors!

  17. Christine says:

I've been to Edinburgh, Scotland in the winter and trust me you're better off where you are. It's awfully cold there this time of year (or at least it was when I was there). But, in the summer it would probably be lovely. Sadly, it's no longer in my budget…

  18. Melissa Y. Allam says:

I want to take a ride in that elevator and those vases, totally awesome! Happy New Year!

  19. Southern Aspirations says:

  21. Lavender and Lilies says:

Darling! I love that hotel. So much eye candy. I have been trying to convince my husband to move Edinburgh up our travel bucket list.

  22. inhabit says:

Sister, I hear ya on being your own boss and not motivated to work AT ALL today! Hence, I am still working at 8:32. Love the Missoni post and am drooling over the photos.

  23. Cyma says:

Wow such an amazing hotel, thanks for sharing 🙂

    Love your blog!

  24. Isabella & Max Rooms says:

Great hotel…I'd love to still be on break there!!

You asked a question about the planner yesterday. I was going to answer but then deleted your comment in my email. I love it! Though it doesn't fit in my purse, it fits in my bag I carry around my materials in for meetings, so works. Plus it was a gift from my husband, so I have to love it right? Just enough places to make notes…

Have a wonderful new year!! Janell

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

This hotel looks just downright scrumptious. Maybe if I win the lottery I can stay there some day! 🙂

  28. DG says:

If you e-mail me at debragoerner@yahoo.com and give me
your address, I will send them out tomorrow. Packaged extra careful for a safe delivery!

  29. Christen says:

These pictures are so great – the rooms have so much personality! And I wish I was my own boss… Enjoy your freedom 🙂

  30. The Inspiration Post says:

My friend just came back from a weekend there, and said it was a great hotel, but could have done with a few antique type pieces reupholstered in Missoni fabrics. It is all modern which is nice, but apparently lacks a bit of something something. Like a Louis IV chair covered in a beautiful knit. Great post though, love the photos.
I always enjoy reading your blog, its lovely.

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
