A bit of twinkle
Around two years ago I fell in with this amazing chandelier by Niermann Weeks:
I had first laid my eyes on it while I was celebrating my sister’s birthday at her friend’s gorgeous beach house.
She is lucky enough to have two hanging in one of her dining rooms:
It was love at first sight for me and I’ve been thinking about that light fixture ever since.
You can only imagine my excitement when I found this the other day:
Now it’s a bit smaller (16″ wide by 19″ high), but this just means the price is tag is smaller ($419) as well. I love it! I think it would look perfect in an entry way, powder room, hallway, bedroom, nursery or perhaps two above a kitchen island.
Can’t wait to use it in a client’s home or more importantly my own home. 🙂

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

Great designs nearly always end up being reproduced in some fashion…the fixtures look great in a pair in the dining room! Janell

Love this! I rent and my light fixtures are so BLAH! Now I’m thinking that maybe when I spy a fixture I love at a good price, I should just pounce on it.

ooo I really like the finish on the first one! And they both have a very nice shape. More and more I’m liking to find my bargains vintage style. (Just scored a new live-edge table that way!) But then again, who doesn’t like a good knock-off. My fave is Pottery Barns Tangiers rug. Looks like a Beni Oaurain, but much cheaper. No longer sold, but they pop up on Ebay!
I really, really love the more aged looking finish on the originals, but I can see how many people might even prefer the shinier mirror look (so popular right now, too!) since it’s more glam. Great find!!
I have to admit I love knock-offs…even little things at Target that are imitations of Pottery Barn, which are imitations of designers…fun to have at affordable price points. 🙂

That is a really good deal! I hope you are able to get the chandelier. $419 is a bit out of my price range at the moment, but one day!

Do you know any details about the dining room table (the wooden on)? I am looking for a large dining table & prefer a trestle table as to sit more people comfortably.

I searched all over the place for the perfect light fixture for our small eating area. I had a light in my head that I wanted, I just hadn’t ever seen it nor did I know if it existed. I was flipping through Pottery Barn’s website one day and I spotted my light! I was so in love with it, but I was on a TIGHT budget and just couldn’t bring myself to buy it from them. About a month later I had lost all hope of finding something that I would equally love and decided to just bite the bullet and try to convince my hubby I really did need it. To my surprise, the light was sold out. I was so bummed that I had been too cheap to purchase the perfect light when it was available and now there was nothing I could do about it. I checked eBay and everywhere else I could think of and still nada. One day I was browsing overstock.com when I stumbled upon the exact same light for HALF the price! Needless to say, I immediately purchased the light and now it’s happily hanging over my table!
