Great designs nearly always end up being reproduced in some fashion…the fixtures look great in a pair in the dining room! Janell

    clever girl with a great eye….under $500 is a deal! k

  4. Katie says:

Love this! I rent and my light fixtures are so BLAH! Now I’m thinking that maybe when I spy a fixture I love at a good price, I should just pounce on it.

  5. This is gorgeous! Great find 🙂

I love these light fixtures. That beach house must be amazing in person. Great find!

You have to check out Bob Brown’s Transitional Room at the 2009 Decorators Showhouse in Atlanta…http://www.atlantahomesmag.com/article/2009-decorators039-show-house-amp-gardens. Best use of this chandelier I’ve seen.

  8. I think I actually like the knock-off more! Great find 🙂

  9. I love this! The lights are fabulous. I am dying to make my formal living room into a dining room that could seat as many as this one (and now my vision needs two light fixtures) Lovely. Thanks for sharing!

  10. That could also look so pretty in a powder room. Love it!

  11. quintessence says:

Great find!! I still love the original but for the price you can’t beat this!

  12. ooo I really like the finish on the first one! And they both have a very nice shape. More and more I’m liking to find my bargains vintage style. (Just scored a new live-edge table that way!) But then again, who doesn’t like a good knock-off. My fave is Pottery Barns Tangiers rug. Looks like a Beni Oaurain, but much cheaper. No longer sold, but they pop up on Ebay!

  13. Sara says:

I really, really love the more aged looking finish on the originals, but I can see how many people might even prefer the shinier mirror look (so popular right now, too!) since it’s more glam. Great find!!

I have to admit I love knock-offs…even little things at Target that are imitations of Pottery Barn, which are imitations of designers…fun to have at affordable price points. 🙂

Beautiful! Somehow I am missing where I could find one too…do you mind sharing? If I lived closer to you, I would be your devoted client 🙂

  15. I think I might like the second one even BETTER than the first believe it or not!

  16. That is a really good deal! I hope you are able to get the chandelier. $419 is a bit out of my price range at the moment, but one day!

Do you know any details about the dining room table (the wooden on)? I am looking for a large dining table & prefer a trestle table as to sit more people comfortably.

I’m new here! Well, I been here a handful of times, but just HAD to comment on this one! 🙂

I searched all over the place for the perfect light fixture for our small eating area. I had a light in my head that I wanted, I just hadn’t ever seen it nor did I know if it existed. I was flipping through Pottery Barn’s website one day and I spotted my light! I was so in love with it, but I was on a TIGHT budget and just couldn’t bring myself to buy it from them. About a month later I had lost all hope of finding something that I would equally love and decided to just bite the bullet and try to convince my hubby I really did need it. To my surprise, the light was sold out. I was so bummed that I had been too cheap to purchase the perfect light when it was available and now there was nothing I could do about it. I checked eBay and everywhere else I could think of and still nada. One day I was browsing overstock.com when I stumbled upon the exact same light for HALF the price! Needless to say, I immediately purchased the light and now it’s happily hanging over my table!

I posted about the find here and then you can see what it looks like hanging above our table here

Those are both beautiful. I especially love the smaller version. Could you tell me where you found it?
    Thanks, Amy

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.

In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
