Market Picks from Trad Home
I always nod my head in agreement whenever I see Michelle Adams and Ellie Sommerville’s market picks. I either fall in love immediately with their picks and they become my new obsessions or I realize it’s something I’ve already been lusting after and want to run out and send them cupcakes and tell them we are meant to be BFF’s.
In the new issue of Trad Home my favorite pic from Michelle’s pick was the Pierre Frey fabric. How amazing is it?
I want to use it in a new clients room and was happy to find some ready made toss pillows with the fabric on ebay and it’s only $58.
My favorite pick from Ellie’s list is Nina Campbell’s Swan Lake pattern:
I’ve been trying to figure out ways to convince Jon that we need to have Nina Campbell’s Swan Lake pattern somewhere in our house. He is not loving that idea. So I don’t think I will be able to get away with wallpaper something with it, but perhaps I can sneak in a toss pillow.
I recently used it in pillow form {Super budget friendly around $25-$35) for Bailey’s Baby moodboard:

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
I adore Swan Lake. My house would be such a girly explosion if it weren’t for my husband. Something tells me he wouldn’t dig swans.
I’m totally shocked at all of the amount of pink and girly items that I’ve been able to sneak into my house. I just to try and use really manly words when describing anything floral. Not an easy feat, but so far so good.

What? Swans are back? I still have a beautiful antique wooden swan decoy from years ago. It was my first antique purchase as a newlywed – I still love it so!

The baby moodboard is fabulous as is your score of the P. Frey fabric pillow from Ebay. I have yet to find a kindred spirit (other than blogland) with whom I share that design connection. When I find him or her, I’ll be overcome with decorating joy!

oh goodness, I really need need that Pierre Frey pillow, but I’d imagine that ebay one will disappear pretty quick. Maybe you should make them and sell them, hint hint? 🙂
I think the ebay store had a couple of pillows with that fabric. Toying with making some pillows up and selling them. We shall see. I need a good deal from my seamstress!
