HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Theses past two weeks I’ve been working out of the dining room. Why? Well little Mr. Hudson has taken over the space with all of his items that he can’t use yet: {All of our empty boxes and reject wood pieces are living here as well awaiting their turn in the fire pit.} {What? Don’t […]

Operation Clean Up

The other day I found this fun website called Tagxedo that lets you make word clouds in a variety of shapes, fonts and colors. It was so much fun to play around it and I decided that little Hudson would love to have one in his nursery. (Nursery hasn’t been revealed yet. It’s almost finished. […]

Baby Talk: Custom Word Cloud artwork

Do you guys ever watch Parks and Rec? I started watching it from the beginning and I must admit that I didn’t love the first season, but I stuck it out and I’m so happy I did. It’s one of my favorite shows now! My favorite character has to be Tom: {Played by the super […]

Treat yo self

Hi All, Hope you had a lovely weekend. This past weekend we left Hudson with my mom and headed out to an install. It was nice to get back into the swing of things and get my creative juices flowing, but I must say that after a restless nights sleep I was a bit tired. […]

Weekend Recap: Back at work

Ok so this is still baby post, but I swear it has to do with design as well. Hudson’s nursery is slowly on it’s way to be finished. We are hoping to finish up the changing nook this weekend and then we are just waiting on items to be finished from my seamstress. One of […]

Baby Talk: Linda Monfort Artwork

While little Hudson has been an angel and tends to nap in his mamaroo while I take a quick shower the two of us have a very different understanding of the word quick. I would like to think a quick shower is around 5-7 mins while Hudson would like to think it’s around 3 mins […]

about me

My new best friend…

I bow down to all mothers out there. I don’t know how you ladies do it all. Up until this week I was lucky enough to have pretty much round the clock help with Hudson. Thanks family! This week though reality has set in. Everyone is back to working their full time jobs (and/or jetting […]

How does she do it all?

Hi All, These last couple of months Thursdays have been reserved for talking about baby. Normally I post some updates on the nursery, but since this little man arrived a week early progress sort of stopped on his nursery. We are hoping to wrap everything up this month. Stay tuned for the reveal. You are […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
