HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I use to love going out to get a mani/pedi. When I was pregnant I always made it a priority because I loved the foot massage I use to get at my salon. Lately though with the two boys and my work load the trips to get my nails done are few and far between. […]

This past Sunday we celebrated Asher’s baptism. I decided to go with a bit of a Southern theme and we hosted a backyard BBQ afterwards for all of our guests. I got Asher the sweetest outfit for his big day and went with a monogrammed bubble. The mass was really nice and the deacon made […]

*Yesterday we hosted Asher’s baptism and I’m still going through all of the photos. So, my weekend recap will have to wait till tomorrow. I went with a bit of a Southern theme for the event so thought it would be fitting to talk about my favorite Southern belle today.* In another life I think […]

Friday Finds

Last week I got some new CoverGirl make up sent to me. I don’t remember ordering anything so I’m assuming it was from a PR company. Regardless I decided to give it a whirl since I have always liked and used their products in the past. One of the items was mascara and I must […]

Treat Yo Self: The Super Sizer!

You all know that I have a very hard time saying no to an animal print. What can I say they are my neutrals. A couple of weeks ago I fell in love with a totally different animal print. This beauty designed by Emily McCarthy and produced by Cotton & Quil. I spied it in […]

Seeing Spots

I love picking up vintage rugs on ebay, but I must say that sometimes it’s really daunting. One new keywork I have been using to find rugs is Oushak. Oushak rugs are Turkish rugs that use a particular set of designs/patterns and they are named after the city of Usak, Turkey. They are perfectly faded […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
