Many times when I’m sourcing items for a client I find other beauties that don’t work for the current project, but I just need to share! So, I decide to come up with a little style plan merging together some of my favorite new finds.
No. 1: How stunning is the artwork of artist, Hayley Mitchell? She is well known for her portraits, but she does much more and one of my favorites is her moth prints. Loving pairing Moth #2 and Moth #4.
No. 2: I would flank it with these black modern sconces to add a little edge and break up the boho chic look.
No. 3: Cecilia has always been one of my favorite girl names so, perhaps that’s what caught my originally with this sofa, but then I went past the sofa name and stuck around and saw the amazing colors it was available in and those chic brass legs!
No. 4: The colors in this pillow just speak to me. Love everything about it and the most amazing part of the pillow is the price point!
No. 5: It’s always nice to add a little masculine touch to a room and this accent chair fits the bill. The leather adds another dose of texture to balance the velvet on the sofa and it brings out the brown/tan the accent pillows.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
