Happy Taco Tuesday! I thought it would be fun to showcase some fun spots on Long Island. A little bit of a helpful guide for locals reading the blog and people looking to vacation in the NYC/Long Island area. Summer is quickly approaching and I’m certain many have plans to head out east on Long Island. Where you can hit up Montauk/Hamptons on one fork of the island or Orient/Greenport on the other. Both forks are amazing year round and have lots offer, but I have always had a soft spot with the North Fork where Orient and Greenport reside.
One of my new favorite spots is, Lucharitos for some yummy tacos! I kept driving past it last summer when we were in Greenport, but it was always so packed that I never made it in. A couple of weeks ago we played hooky mid week and ended up in Greenport and therefore Lucharitos!
You can not miss their signage on Main St. At night it’s all lite up!
They have some cute outdoor seating. Who doesn’t love an aqua bistro set?
A luchador is a person that competes in lucha libre wrestling. There are luchadors throughout the decor from the menus to the wall decor! The menu is full of amazing taco combinations. The Korean BBQ tacos are my personal favorite and lots of drink combos as well!
Pink, pink and more pink. It’s everywhere and I love it.
This vintage tufted sofa also caught my eye. Such a cute little perch right outside the bathroom.
Nothing makes me happier that strung lights. They are just so fun. We have some up in basement that we hung for Hudson’s 3rd birthday party and we left them up, because we loved the glow of them.
While one side of the restaurant features a lot of pink the opposite side has teal pops of color and a gallery wall like I have never seen.
We really enjoyed ourselves and I will be back! The nice part about the location is that it’s in the heart of Greenport and it surrounded by the marina, shops and lots of cute ice cream parlors! It’s also a hop skip and jump away from the carousel, which the boys enjoyed immensely.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
The time has come to finally share our new kitchen reveal. For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, we bought a house right before the pandemic hit. It was a total gut job from top to bottom. We started our demo and then the world shut down. Enter the delays […]
Picking out paint colors for a new home can be overwhelming. I find that many times when I meet with a new client the entire house is simply just painted white or a light gray. Now, I think there is a time and place for those colors, but with paint, there is just so much […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
