One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is getting my craft one! Typically I stress out during the holidays and this year I tried to nip that in the bud by doing all of my holiday shopping right after Thanksgiving and then decorating the house the first week of December. Now that all the big stuff is done I actually have time to enjoy the twinkling Christmas lights and bake cookies, and do little craft project like a DIY Bow-tiful Wreath!
My inspiration came from this gold bow wreath. I literally grasped when I saw it. I wanted it so badly, but it was $99 (now on sale for $79) and I knew I could easily DIY instead and save my money.
Here is what you will need:
-Gift Bows – variety of sizes. You can pick these up at a lot of stores at this time, but I just ordered on Amazon Prime for ease. I ordered 120 bows, but had a good amount left over.
-Wreath base- you could go with foam or straw. Straw was cheaper so I just went with it.
-Glue Gun
-Ribbon for hanging
Step 1: Adhere your ribbon for hanging. I simply looped mine thru the wreath and made sure that I had a long enough piece that could go over the door frame. Check out my easy way to hang a wreath here.
Step 2: Get your glue on! Use your glue gun to adhere the bows into place. There is really no rhyme or reason here. I just made sure to mix up the colors and sizes. For the most part I left the sticky adhesive they had on the bow and just glued directly on to it. Other times I ripped it off if it was interfering with me getting into a tight spot.
In order to have it hang nicely on the wall make sure you leave the back without bows.
That’s it! Super simple!
It’s a project even your kids could handle to help with if you use a low heat glue gun.
So, go forth and pick up the easy supplies and get your craft one! Imagine all of the possibilities with the ribbon you pick for hanging and the color of the bows you decide to use!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
