Make up is something that I really love, but don’t normally splurge on. My make up bag consists of drug store make up finds and the occasional mix of higher end make up. I’m all about a high/low mix in my decorating and also my make up bag. Here is a gift guide for the beauty fanatic in your life. Some are classics that I adore and use all the time. Others are finds that I’m itching to add to my make up bag.
No. 1 Every make up lover needs a nicely sized make up case. Isn’t this adorable? I love the zipper so, it will keep little hands out of my make up. Plus it can be monogrammed!
No. 2 I love make up masks. It’s always fun to put one on after I have put the kids to bed. I normally do full face masks, but I have dying to try one of these lip masks. Apparently it helps plump your lips!
No. 3 I received this almond shower oil as a gift a couple of years ago and it’s one of my favorite beauty finds. It’s so amazing to use it in the shower and I actually use it shave my legs.
No. 4 I love all day stay lipstick and I have been itching to try the Stila version. Loving this gift set because it’s only $45 and contains 8 lipsticks! So, you would get to try out different shades and since there are so many you can leave one in your car, purse, jacket, etc.
No. 5 How chic is this applique bath mat! It’s only $36 and there are a couple of colors to pick from for the monogram applique!
No. 6 If you are a beauty lover then you are probably also a fan of the selfie! I have been wanting to try out a LuMee case that helps you give you a really pretty glow in photos. Loving this quartz pattern version.
No. 7 I received a Beachwaver curling iron after buying one for my sister and going done the crazy rabbit hole of YouTube videos. Apparently I didn’t stop talking about it and Jon totally surprised me and gifted me one for Christmas. I’m in love with it. I use it all the time. I can curl my hair in around 10-15 mins and it looks perfect! Easy hair tutorial here. I typically use it with 2nd day hair and pair it with my favorite dry shampoo.
No. 8 I love painting my own nails. Back in the day during my High School years I would switch my polish daily! I think this cool nail polish holder I would have an easier time giving myself a manicure. It would be such a cute gift paired with my favorite nail polish color.
No. 9 I love a good make up bag, but I would being able to organize everything into it’s own drawer. Loving this pink make up organizer. No more tossing everything in my make up bag when I’m looking for the mascara I want to use.
No. 10 This Q-tip holder would be the perfect Christmas stocking stuffer for the beauty lover in your life.
No. 11 Can you believe you can now finally find a chic shower cap. How perfect is this shower turban!
No. 12 There is a lot of buzz going on about this ISSA Play Sonic toothbrush. I’m old school when it comes to my toothbrush and don’t typically use an electric one, but I would love to give this one a whirl.
No. 13 This is the gift that I am the most excited about! There is nothing more satisfying than cleaning your make up brushes. If I ever get my hands on someone’s make up case I typically grab their brushes and clean them. So, imagine my delight when I found this electronic brush cleaner!!! Does anyone use one? There are a ton of options to pick from so, I’m not sure which is the crowd favorite, but this one had the best reviews!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
