Finishing up your holiday shopping early has it’s perks. I did almost of all of my shopping online on Black Friday. Since then I have been decking the halls, baking way too many cookies and whipping up lots of DIY presents. This little project was one of my favorites this season. The boys have been obsessed with making ornaments. We have painted way too many wooden ornaments, but momma wanted something a bit more stylish. So, I grabbed some plain ceraminc ball ornaments from the craft store and then went a little wild with a sharpie, paint pen and stick on rhinestones!
Take 1: Who doesn’t love a little bit of sparkle. A sheet of these rhinestone stickers was only $1 next to the $1 ceramic ball ornament at AC Moore. I decide to go bold and just cover the whole thing in them!
Take 2: A couple of years ago J.Crew had a Blah, Blah, Blah ornament, which I thought was super cute, but never purchased. Blah, blah, blah didn’t seem too tis the season, so I went with merry, merry, merry instead. A simple black sharpie and a word of your chosen and you are ready to go.
Take 3: I love the look of ginger jars. I think they are a staple for the interior design/home decor obsessed. Take your blue paint pen and get to work mimicking the design of your favorite jar.
Each one literally took minutes to make and I love how they turned out. Add them to your tree or tie one on to a Christmas present.
Designer tip: Remove the plain gold loop they give you and add your own hanging loop in a fun ribbon instead.
