This weekend was dreary and gray and full of rain, rain and rain. It had me daydreaming about getting a way for a little Winter or Spring escape somewhere warm and sunny! Last week I ordered bathing suits just in case a perfect trip did arise! Currently there is no trip on the horizon, but the boys are itching to go to Pig Beach in the Bahamas. Have you ever been? In the meantime I can just put on my bathing suits and sunglasses and pretend for a bit. The best part of my bathing suit order was the prices! Each bathing suit was less than $20! Who doesn’t love a budget friendly bathing suit that actually fits and is great quality.
Floral Off the Shoulder ruffled bathing suit: Now I wasn’t sure if something off the shoulder would actually work on me and hold me in, but this suit worked perfectly. I’m a lot bigger on top then I am on the bottom so swimsuit shopping can be a bit difficult. I always end up in a one piece and have to size for my top part and hope it’s not too large on the bottom. For this bathing suit I ended up going with an XL and it fit me perfectly on top and actually looked pretty snug on the bottom as well.
Guys, this is love for you. When I shared about the bathing suits on instagram everyone wanted to see them on me, so on they went pale legs and all!
This was my favorite of all of the suits I bought. Not sure I could run around after the boys in it, but I did have great movement in it.
Next up was a Palm Leaf One Shoulder Bathing Suit: Who doesn’t love a palm leaf! When I saw it I had to pick it up! I loved the one shoulder detailing and figured I would give it a spin. Again I went with the XL and it fit my top half perfectly. Since it had a good amount of ruching to it even though there was a bit of extra fabric in the middle I just ruched it a bit more! My only complaint with this bathing suit was that the back side of the bathing suit was on the thin side. The front side has the additional fabric with the ruching and therefore thicker.
Last one up is this Scalloped trim halter bathing suit: Classic black is always a go to for me when it comes to bathing suit. Even though I’m heavy on top I love the idea of a halter so I always try them out. Sometimes they are win and sometimes they can’t hold me in for anything and I’m spilling out of it. Again with this one I went with XL and it fit perfectly. The only tweak I to make here was to remove the pads it had on the inside. It was giving me really weird lines.
There you have it! 3 bathing suits for $45 and I’m happy with all of them! This never happens especially when you are ordering online and don’t have the time to try them on before hand.
Happy Shopping! Now, go off and purchase your bathing suits so we can wear them indoors while it’s snowing outdoors.
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
