I know I’m a color lover and as a decorator many clients come to me because they love color just as much as me, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a neutral space where whites and creams take center stage. I always tell Jon that I wish we could have multiple houses so I could decorate each one a totally different style. Ah! Wouldn’t that be nice! Like this stunning neutral glam bedroom that would look amazing in a chic and modern farmhouse style house.
No. 1 Grace Bone Inlay Mirror: This was the inspiration piece that it started it all. I loved the neutral color in it and that it was paired with gold. Neutral doesn’t always have to mean Farmhouse. This mirror brings the room into a more glamorous space.
No. 2 Visual Comfort Jaqueline Flush Mount: I always seeing lighting in a room as the jewelry of a room and in this case it really does look like a fabulous necklace! Look for less option here.
No. 3 Concrete & Brass Table Lamp: When working with neutrals it’s really about the texture in order to keep things interesting. Love the mix of concrete and metal in this lamp. The different surfaces really mix things up.
No. 4 Upholstered Panel Bed: Love the panels on the side of this headboard. A modern take on a winged headboard. It’s really pretty in this color, but if you want to be daring it does come in a rainbow of colors.
No. 5 Geometric Moroccan Rug: Love the soft texture on this rub and the tribal pattern. Helps balance out the glam elements in the space.
No. 6 Baxton Studio Harlow Nightstand: I’m warming up to warm toned woods and have been sprinkling them a bit more into my designs. Really love the way it works in this space.
No. 7 Lane Linen Bedding by Crane & Canopy: I take my bedding game seriously and I love Crane & Canopy’s quality. This bedding is stunning. The linen is super soft and since it’s suppose to look a little wrinkled I don’t need to break out the iron with it. I would pair it with their English grey euro shams.
No. 8 Hilden Lucite Upholstered Bench: The lucite really helps add another touch of glam into the space and again another texture.
No. 9 Colorblock Linen Throw: Yet again another layer of texture.
No. 10 Little Design Co is my go to source for amazing pillows that I would typically source myself at my workroom, but they can quick ship in 3-5 days which is way faster! Love their velvet pillows and stunning bolsters.
Swoon! When is bedtime?
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
