Mother’s Day is quickly approaching! Is it just me or has April been flying! I can’t believe May is soon, which also means my birthday is right around the corner. I was actually born on Mother’s Day and Asher was also born on Mother’s Day! So, it’s a pretty big deal around these parts with so many celebrations! I love giving gifts and pride myself on being an excellent gift giver, but I have been told I’m impossible to shop for. I think I’m easy to shop for if you are paying attention to me, but let’s agree to disagree with my family members. Here is a gift guide for items I would love for Mother’s day! Hopefully it will give you some gift ideas for what to give your momma or hints for you to send your significant other!
No. 1 Barrington Satchel: I love handbags. I remember losing my purse full of papers (aka blank bank deposit slips that I use to love to grab when I went with my Dad to the bank.) back when I was probably around 6 or 7. I left it on a park bench when I went to play and when I returned it was gone. I still talk about that loss! I digress! Still love purses to this day and love the scale, pattern and hello monogram with this one.
No. 2 Fringe Monogram Hook: I think I’m a Southern at heart, because anything with a full name monogram or initial has my heart. Loving this fun hook! It’s adorable and a great price point. I think I need this for my studio.
No. 3 Druzy & Oval Drop Earrings: I have seem sculptural earrings pop of everywhere this Spring and I’m really loving the mix of blush and turquoise here.
No. 4 Tassle Mules: I mean are they not the best shoes you have seen! Adorable! Love them! I think I would wear them all of the time! Of course I need a size 38 and it’s out of stock! All the tears.
No. 5 Ugg Tassel Blanket: I have an addiction to buying mugs and throws. I’m seriously always picking them up! I don’t know about you but I love to cuddle with a throw so, I have them in every room of the house. Love the colors in this one.
No. 6 Leopard Print Embriodered Tea Towel: These are an amazing price point at only $25 and you can pick from a bunch of different tea towel color options and embroidery color options.
No. 7 Layered Heart Necklace: Ok obsessed with this find. It’s only $22 and how sweet would it be to have your kids names on it! I need a Hudson and Asher version ASAP!
No. 8 Eyelet Sneakers: In love with all of the details on these sneakers. It looks like they run big so make sure to size down when ordering. Also they are currently 40% off!
No. 9 Drunk Elephant Eye Cream: I have been on a big skincare kick lately. I found some wrinkles under my eyes and pretty much lost my mind and started looking up where to get fillers. Jon wasn’t into the idea! Imagine that! Haha. So, I have been testing out new lotions, magic potions, etc and the Drunk Elephant line seems to be a favorite among many!
No. 10 Butterfly Bloom 2 Tier Cake Stand: I’m a sucker for a pretty china pattern. This one had me immediately with the pattern and color. It was love at first sight! I want to fill it with petite fours and cookies and have a tea party while watching the upcoming royal wedding! Who is with me!
Anything you are itching to treat yourself too?
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
