In the design world trends can come and go rather quickly. When I first saw beaded chandeliers I thought it would be something that would fade after a handful of years. I have seen them around for almost 10 years now, but I’m still not tired of them. Even though they are not traditional in style they are a classic that I can see working in the design world for quite some time. I remember seeing beautiful beaded chandeliers at High Point in the most amazing colored stones. They were works of art that completely inspired me, but also had super high price points and I never got to have one of my own. In the past many versions have come out from major retailers making them more affordable and now in addition to the stones and glass beads you can find versions made with wooden beads. I was sourcing lighting for a client the other day and found the most amazing etsy shop with beautiful wood beaded chandeliers for under $200! That’s right under $200 with a nice scale and really chic look to them!
Here are my favorites from the shop:
Aren’t they pretty? I love the mix of the black and natural wood beads! Very stylish and chic less boho. I also love the aqua beaded chandelier version because the original I fell in love with years ago was also aqua! They are all made to order so, you can pick whatever colors you like! You can also pick from a variety of wood bead sizes. They are handmade in Bali, Indonesia and ready to ship in 1 to 2 weeks! Not only are you getting something custom but you are also supporting an artisan.
