Today I’m super happy to participate in the, It’s A Colorful Life blog hop that is hosted by Jennifer of Dimples & Tangles and Jewel from Jeweled Interiors. It’s a three-day blog hop filled with the prettiest interiors from my fellow color-loving pals! We all love color yet we tackle it all in different ways. There is something there for everyone. If you are coming over from Ariel from PMQ for Two blog, Welcome! I hope you will stick around. My name is Camila Pavone and I live in NY. I’m a short train ride away from Manhattan aka the suburbs. I’m married and have two sweet little boys. Ok, they use to be little, but now they are 5 and 7. I have my own interior decorating firm and have also been blogging about home and interiors since 2008! I love color and think your home should be an effortless reflection of your style. Currently, we have been crashing with my parents while we find our new house. Yesterday I shared the big news that after a long search we found the one! So, for my Christmas home tour, I’m sharing our bedrooms which I have full design reign over and my studio space!
Last week I shared what I did in my bedroom, but I went in and added a couple more little details like these super cute striped Christmas stockings! I grabbed them at Hobby Lobby last month because they were colorful stripes and 50% off and I figured I would use them somewhere. I can’t find them online, but check your local store.
Then I added one of my most treasured possessions, a beautiful watercolor of my family from last year by artist, Lacee Swan. She surprised with this last year after seeing one of our family photos last year. Check it all out here.
This year all of the Christmas movies I have been watching inspired me to decorate the boys room this year. I swapped out their Minecraft bedding (Yes, I gave in to character bedding) and put on candy cane bedding with red plaid sheets. They were so excited when they saw the new look!
Normally I don’t love a bed in a bag situation, but I did enjoy that this bedding set came with an adorable candy cane pillow with pom pom trim. It made it really easy to dress up the boys room for the holidays.
Fa la la! The room just twinkles with Christmas when the lights go on!
The rest of the house is decorated but since we are staying at my parents’ house it’s decorated in traditional Christmas colors. So, I decided to give my studio space a little Christmas cheer with my colorful twist!
These mercury Christmas trees are one of my favorite decor items. I picked them up at a thrift store for less than $10 and made them more me by gluing on pom poms!
A pretty addition for any dining area is to tie on some wreaths to the back of your chairs with a bright colored ribbon.
I was also able to squeeze in a nook for my Christmas tree. I added tassels and pom poms to decorate it.
I also found the cutest pom pom Christmas trees which would be an easy DIY.
I even set up a hot cocoa station with holiday snacks.
Thanks for coming along and checking out my colorful take on Christmas! I hope you enjoyed it!
Make sure you check out the schedule to see everyone else sharing their takes on a colorful Christmas. Next stop on the tour for today is Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof!!!

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
