Holiday season is upon us! Along with the decor, Hallmark movies, and Christmas cookies, one of my favorite parts of the season is gift-giving. I’m not a huge fan of getting gifts, but I love giving them and pride myself on being an excellent gift giver! I love to find that item that the gift receiver didn’t even know they needed, but now they can’t live without it! I find that when shopping for the ladies in your lady you can’t go wrong with beauty items. You don’t worry if it’s going to fit and typically it’s something that the person can use even if they aren’t a big beauty person. It was fun to round up some of my favorites and the majority of the items on this gift guide I actually own and love!
No. 1 Dr. Jart Cica Kit: I have been down the Tik Tok rabbit hole and I’m in love! It’s fun to scroll around and see what is out there. In the beauty world, everyone is a buzz with Dr. Jart and his color-correcting cream. It’s green, but once you warm it up with your fingers and apply it to your face it matches your skin tone and even outs any redness you may have and you are left with an awesome glow! I’m excited to try this kit and all of its goodies! I think it’s a perfect gift for your go-to beauty maven.
No. 2 I love mascara!!!! I’m constantly trying new ones! My only pet peeve is when your lashes clump together. Sometimes it’s just because the mascara hasn’t dried yet and you might brush up on your lashes and bam they clump together! I picked up this lash separator and it’s a perfect addition to my makeup bag. It’s so easy to use and makes sure I don’t have spider lashes!
No. 3 ILIA Holiday Set: A couple of months ago I tried out beauty brand ILIA and went all out with clean beauty! Their makeup videos really got to me and I had to try it out. I started buying out just one item and then very quickly I switched everything over to them! I’m in love and tell everyone about them. I have quickly gotten my family members on board and hopefully some of you as well. It is so worth it! I was afraid that clean makeup wouldn’t last as long or smell funny or the mascara would be awful, but I was completely wrong. Every product has been amazing especially the mascara! I think this holiday kit is an awesome gift to introduce someone to a new beauty brand they are going to fall in love with.
No. 4 Billie Super Salve: That perfect hint of color plus the packaging is oh so pretty! I haven’t been wearing a ton of lipstick due to masks, but I still like a little color and keep my lips nice and soft. I picked up this salve on a whim because I was trying out the razor set and their wonder wipes, which are awesome!!! Makes me feel less guilty about just using makeup wipes some nights for makeup removal.
No. 5 Mary Kay Satin Hands: If you are like me then you are spending a good amount of the day making sure your hands are clean. However, in the winter my hands start to get dry and handwashing doesn’t make things better. My mom got me Mary Kay Satin Hands years ago and it’s one of my favorite products. You end up with silky soft hands that feel brand new. Can’t remind highly enough.
No. 6 The Morning After Dry Bar Shower Cap: I try really hard to extend the time in between my hair washing. Not only is it better for your hair, but it helps me get ready faster. This cap is a dream! It never gets water in and my secret tip is to spray dry shampoo in my hair before my shower and then use the shower cap. Once I’m done with the shower the dry shampoo has had time to really get into my hair and leave no white powder residue.
No. 7 Tangle Teezer Brush: A great brush for detangling your hair in the shower and throughout the day. Similar to a Wet Brush, but I find that this one is softer on my hair.
No. 8 The Ordinary Caffeine Solution: A couple of little drops under your eyes in the morning and I have found that it has made a world of difference. I normally get really dark under-eye circles, but this solution makes them go away! Are they gone forever? No, there is no magical serum for that, but it does an amazing job of keeping them at bay and being able to run out of my house without makeup on. A perfect gift for your mom friends!
No. 9 Terry cloth headband: I have found myself doing my skincare routine every morning and night most days. So it’s always nice to have a terry cloth headband on during my face washing so that my hair stays dry if I’m not planning on washing my hair.
No. 10 Mulberry Silk Mask: Masks can do a number on your skin. Silk is much more breathable and better for your skin to prevent acne. These masks are chic, silk, and at a great price point. Pair it with a personalized mask chain and you have a chic gift that you know is going to get used.
No. 11 Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush: I got one of these for my birthdays and it’s one of my favorite items. It leaves me with baby soft skin after using it! I use it with my Biore Witch Hazel Pore Cleanser and Biore Brightening Jelly Cleanser. It’s so so so good! The brightening jelly is a new addition to my routine and I noticed a difference right away!
No. 12 Personalized Makeup Case: A perfect home to hold all of your makeup or skincare or how about one for each! Available in a favorite of colors and fonts.
No. 13 Rainbow Bath Bomb: As a busy mom there is nothing better than locking the world away and getting into a bath. Guaranteed alone time! Will the kids still yell outside the bathroom door? Totally, but the bath bomb and a good book or podcast will help you forget about it. Pair it with this awesome bathtub pillow and you are going to make some lucky lady very happy!
No. 14 Revlon Ceramic Hot Air Brush: This is a new purchase for me and I’m loving it. I still love my John Frieda Hot Air Brush for everyday use, but if I use the Revlon one it dries my hair and gives me more of a curling iron finish and a bit of a bounce.
No. 15 Olive & June: Olive & June polish is my favorite! I started by gifting a set to my MIL and then once I saw it I knew I had to have it. I treated myself to a kit with everything in it and it’s been awesome! Every season I pick up a couple new polishes and my collection is growing! It goes on beautifully and doesn’t chip for an extremely long time. I don’t shut up about it. I’m a girl in love! They are currently running a 25% off sale with the code: MAGIC25. Treat yo self or your bestie. With our current health climate, I don’t see myself going into a nail salon anytime soon so it’s nice to have all of the items to do it myself and play manicurist to family.
Hope this helps kick start your holiday shopping! Stay tuned for more guides coming your way!
My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
In our new home, the basement was completely unfinished. It was literally one of those dark spaces that you see in horror movies and are terrified of getting locked into. However, with the square footage in this house, I knew I needed to make the basement another workable and liveable floor of the house instead […]
What to look for when it comes to picking out kitchen appliances: Leave room in your budget for appliances. When it comes to kitchen renovations everyone knows that the cabinetry and the labor of demoing and installing cabinetry is going to eat a lot of your budget. However, the second most expensive part of a […]
I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that designing a kitchen is an overwhelming undertaking. I’m an interior designer and even I find it stressful to iron out all of those details. So, when it comes time to design a kitchen I always like to partner with a kitchen designer to make sure I’m remembering […]
