HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

how to shop a thrift store

Growing up I had never stepped into a thrift store. Then in my early twenties I would occasionally pop into one for a costume, but it wasn’t until my mid-twenties when I really got into interior design and had my own home that I started hitting thrift stores pretty regularly. In all of those years […]

Since I’m currently without home a.k.a. crashing at my parents house while we house hunt I have zero need for this 4 tiered pendant chandelier in my personal home. However that does not stop me from drooling over it whenever I see it. I first set my eyes on it this summer at the One […]

I actually never thought I would type the words, “chic removable wallpaper”. For the longest time all of the options I saw in the removable wallpaper realm were anything but chic. budget friendly brushstroke lamps

I have loved brushstroke lamps for a long time. The stunning versions by Jana Bek are a favorite of mine, but I just can’t pull the trigger on them. I don’t need any new lamps in my home and they are on the expensive side so, for now I just get to visit them on […]

Campaign style furniture dates back to the 19th century. The furniture was designed for travel which meant that you could break them down into a smaller pieces for carrying. Today’s reproductions don’t break down, but they still have the same classic shape and brass detailing. I have loved them for years and I don’t think […]

yellow and blue fabric pattern play

This pattern play wasn’t an official client project, but I was playing around with my moodboard and I fell in love with the combo and I had to share it. The fruit and floral fabric is Campagne and it was my main inspiration point. I told you I was on a fruit pattern kick and […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
