HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

colorful-home-office-with-pink-turkish-rug

Pink has always been a go to color for me. I love it barely there or bold and bright. I have gotten away with injecting quite a bit of pink in our home even though I live with a bunch of men! Luckily for me, Jon is always open to pink and the boys are […]

MINI FLORAL CENTERPIECES

Spring is in the air and this weekend we are celebrating Easter! In the past I have done many variations of a Easter tablescape like my English garden tablescape complete with easy DIY carrot napkins, which are just as cute as they sound. I have also tackled an all floral Easter tablescape complete with DIY […]

I think every room should have at least one vintage piece in it. One of my favorite ways to inject a piece with history into a space is a stunning vintage Kilim, Turkish or Oushak rug. I know there are a lot of reproductions out there that give you a similar look at great price […]

vintage bamboo chair

Time and time again you scroll thru blogs and pinterst  and see how someone revamped a vintage piece of furniture with a new paint job, knobs, etc to give it a brand new look! In the past I have done that as well, but it’s also nice to find a vintage piece that you can […]

peacock rattan headboard

I love the touch of whimsy that peacock rattan headboards add to a space. Typically they are vintage finds that can cost a pretty penny. Most times they are white, but you can now spy them in many different colors in bedrooms throughout the land! Serena & Lily Seahorse Headboard: Retails for $495 plus $200 […]

You all know I love a dose of vintage in a room. My favorite vintage item to use in a room is a rug. Not just any old rug, but a vintage kilim rug. Most times they come in odd sizes so I typically use them in bathrooms and laundry rooms where I don’t need […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
