HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

So lately I’ve been making weekly trips to a thrift store I found. While I was in the mist of helping my SIL find a sofa I was making bi-weekly trips to the store and kept finding things I was falling in love with. Of course since they were all at amazing prices all of […]

She’s got curves….

Hello Loves, Totally exhausted from the weekend. It was paint filled! When we moved into our house it had recently been painted. Of course I wanted all new paint colors so we re-painted, but left the trim as is. Well of course now the trim is showing it’s age so I decided it would be […]

Weekend Recap: paint, paint and a winner!

This coming January I’ll be married 4 years! Ah it is going by so quickly yet it feels like I just had my wedding the other day. Perhaps because this lazy, no longer a newly-wed still has her wedding dress hanging in the closet. Oh I don’t have the heart to bring it to the […]

thank you

You sweet thing…

I have always loved what a dose of black and white can do to a room… Even the smallest dose can make quite the impact and turn up the glam in a room…   Stripes tend to be one of my favorite ways to add a dose of black and white into a room. They […]

What’s black and white plus FREE?

I’m normally not a huge fan of pink. Yes, I love it on my book covers, toe nails and even the occasional cupcake, but in decorating terms it always screamed nursery to me. That was my thinking a couple of years ago, but now I can’t get enough of pink. I don’t have any of […]

Pinking of you…

Last week I showed you some of my most recent trash to treasure finds that I recently found. One of the first items that needed immediate attention was the patio chairs. Here are the frames after I took all the mesh out of them:   Pictured below is the mesh seating that needed a good […]

Take a seat

I’m completely exhausted from this weekend. I was in charge of hosting Father’s day this year and It was a lot of hard work due to all the rain. Rain meant no BBQ, which meant an actual meal, which meant a very cranky Camila by dessert time. So, this morning it’s taken me a bit […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
