For months now I’ve had a beautiful piece of art by Tina Steele Lindsey just floating around my house. It was love at first site, but then I couldn’t commit to a location.
It’s moved around the first floor of my house for a while now. I hadn’t committed to actually placing a nail on the wall so it’s been leaning on lots of walls as I decide where it should go.
Finally this weekend I decided enough is enough I need to get this painting up on the wall. Of course it ended up on the wall where I was originally going to put it! Sometimes you just need to go with gut.
So pretty. Now my only dilemma is whether or not I paint the frame. Thoughts?
P.S.: My gmail drama is still happening. This has been a nightmare. Whoever hacked into my account has been making changes on my old blogger blog and all of my google accounts are now frozen. I’m currently waiting on a computer program from google to see if they can confirm me as the owner of the account. If they can’t then they advise me to just start a new account. Not so easy for me. All of my to the trade/client/pr contacts/etc are in my email. If you have emailed me in the past or I owe you an email please email me at camila@effortless-style.com so I can start building up my contacts again.
It’s lovely! I’d keep it black, I always love a pop of black in the room and in this case my eye went directly to this print and why shouldn’t it!!
Looks great in that spot. Goes well with the room! I bet it feels great to have it up!
i like it black! It is a beautiful piece- glad you finally found the perfect spot for it! Hope you mess straightens out soon- sounds like a real headache!

How have I missed all your dining room posts? Red chest, turquoise chairs, antique table, black chandelier, perfect wall color. I love it all! Would you please share the wall color with us? And for the art, I like the frame black.
What a lovely piece of art. I’m curious to see what colors you are thinking of painting the frame.
P.S. Bummer about the Gmail situation…whoever hacked into your account is in for a lifetime of bad karma!
I love the black frame! It ties it to your chandelier…so I’d leave it. I’d be more inclined to paint the white Bally frames black – but their fine as they are too – let your statement be the Tina Steele Lindsey piece – just BEAUTIFUL!!
Love Tina’s artwork…I could just look at it for hours. As for framing, I always think the artist knows best how to present the piece of work…ask her for her input! As for your e-mail, that absolutely stinks.
this piece is so gorgeous!! i love it. i like how the black makes the art stand out…

That is a great painting, but I think it might be lovelier in a gold frame – just me.
Sorry about all the Gmail crapola – ugh.
oh, I love that painting!! That’s the perfect spot for it!
I vote black. Relates to the other art and your chandelier.
We shall see. My chandelier is actually navy. I will keep you posted. 🙂
How about navy on the frame?
So sorry about your gmail mess. It must be very surreal having someone change your stuff! Not the sort of thing you think of with hackers . . . a decorating blog? Must be so frustrating.
