HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

I haven’t done of these posts in awhile and I recently stumbled upon a great look for less item. Check it out: Ok so the expensive version is by Trina Turk and it retails for $110. It is stunning and Trina Turk pillows are really well made and last forever, but not everyone has the […]

My favorite part of blogging is interacting with people that are just as obsessed with design as me. In the beginning of my blogging career (I started in Sept 2008) I loved blog hopping and commenting in order to make some introductions that have turned into friends. As the years have progressed my interactions with […]

I thought I loved color, but designer Maria Barros takes it to another level. Take a peek into her world: I just want to get lost in her world. Apparently Maria just came out with a book called Casa Feliz: I’ve been searching for purchasing information on the book, but I have yet to find […]

Live Colorfully

This weeks Treat yo self item is one that I’m really hoping Jon is reading. 🙂 As a new mommy I find myself with my hands full when I leave the house so I haven’t really rocking a handbag, but a diaper bag instead. Don’t get me wrong I have a pretty chic one, but […]

Treat yo self: Week 2

How sweet are my sisters? For Christmas this year they gifted me with this blingy cocktail ring from Kate Spade. It’s there year of color December ring and it was in honor of Hudson’s birth. I love it! Now if only my fingers would shrink back to size I would be a happy lady.

The blog world is full of tutorials for DIY upholstered headboards. I myself have made them out of a crib rail (It’s a super easy project & great for families that have out grown cribs.) We have also tackled building our own completely upholstered bed: {Ah sweet Hudson when he was a couple of days […]

This winter has been pretty tame in NY, but this past weekend we got a lovely covering of snow on the ground. I for one was really excited to wake up Saturday morning and see a blanket of white outside. It was just enough snow to stick, but not enough to make it hard to […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
