Love the look as much as I did? Here are the DIY steps achieve the look.
Most of the supplies can be found at your local craft store and your office supplies. You can use any striped pillow you like, but I found one at Ikea for only $6, which was a perfect ticking fabric.
Step 1: Cut your paper in half and draw your heart. Now you can grab any heart image from online and simply print it out to use it for a stencil, but I thought the pillow was sweeter if you drew it yourself.
Step 2: Cut your heart out and use the stencil to trace your pillow onto the pillow with a sharpie. Placement is up to you, but I found the stripes helpful in centering the heart by going in 7 stripes from each edge.
Step 3: Pick a color combo for the pom poms and start gluing into place with Fabri-Tac.
Step 4: Once your pom poms are all glued let them fully dry/set (approximately 1 hr). Since I have a little man around the house that loves to play decorator and play with all of my pillows I decided to protect my pom poms a bit more and stitch them into place. I thought it would be hard to get needle/thread through a pom pom, but it was super easy to do.
STEP 5: Place in it’s new home! Don’t you love all of the pattern play?

So, what do you think? Are you ready to tackle this project. It came in under $10 for me, because all I needed to pick up was a pillow cover ($6) and a bag of pom pom’s ($2). Everything else was already in my house.

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.
Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.
On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]
Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]
For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]
