HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

Yay for Friday! Even though it was a short week it still felt long to me! Here are some things that caught my eye this week. -Jon surprised me yesterday with a coolatta from Dunkins and I was surprised to find out they now made Arnold Palmer ones! Arnold Palmer’s (Half lemonade/Half Ice-Tea) are my […]

Friday Finds…

If you have been reading this blog for a bit you know that I have a soft spot in my heart for all things British. Tea time, biscuit eating and reading all books that revolve around life in England have been the closest I have gotten to a trip across the pond, but a couple […]

Hope you all had an enjoyable long weekend to check off the summer season and of course honor the hero’s that protect our freedom. We had a family BBQ to attend on Saturday that was full of little kids. Hudson had a blast enjoying all of the madness that occurs when 7 kids get together. […]

Scenes from my weekend…

-I’m loving how hardy hydrangeas are. I bought these on May 8th and they have been going strong ever since. I’ve had to switch out the accent flowers, but the big white poufs have being going and going. Pick up a bunch at Trader Joes! My favorite place for fresh flowers. -I can’t believe Memorial […]

Friday Finds…

As you all know I got a little surprise this past Mother’s day. I had all intentions of blogging full time again this week, but we are still trying to get into a new routine. I’ve been lucky enough to have Jon working shorter days this week as we ease into life with 2 boys […]

about me

Introducing…

Someone decided to surprise their momma a little early (4 weeks to be exact) and come as a Mother’s Day gift. We are all doing great and should be coming home from the hospital tomorrow. I will hopefully be back up and running with regular blogging next week, but this week will be getting into […]

Surprise!

In my circle I’m known as an excellent gift giver. I always give someone the perfect gift that they didn’t even know they wanted. Due to this many of my family members are terrified of getting me gifts. It’s totally not my intent, but I can understand that they just want to get me something […]

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
