I love designing nurseries! There is such excitement when a new baby is entering a family and a crucial piece of welcoming a new addition is where the new addition will reside. It’s also fun design wise because you tend to design them in so many different directions. My latest style plan for a nursery client was a girly take on a global theme with a little wilderness thrown in for fun.
No.1: My inspiration point was this amazing wallpaper by Beware the Moon. There are 51 animals throughout the paper. Love!
No.3: The crib area will be flanked with these lilac wall sconces.
No.4: For my wilderness touch I went with a buffalo check in a girly peachy shade.
No.5:A little mid century modern style in the crib works perfectly in this space. I love the Hudson crib from Babyletto. It’s at a great price point and comes in a handful of colors that would work in any nursery!
No.6: My favorite steal of this style plan is this glider. It’s so chic and classic looking with a removable slipcover which is ideal when dealing with babies plus it’s only $388!
No.7: This lovely lumbar pillow will be going on the glider. Love the dose of plaid, because it’s another bit of wilderness and the pink lines throughout add that touch of girly. It was meant to go in this nursery.
No.8 This lilac storage ottoman is the perfect perch for your feet or it can be moved to the side of glider and have a tray added on top and use it as a little end table.
No.9: Window treatments with blackout liners are a must for nurseries. It’s great that so many companies are now offering that option. I wanted a pop of yellow and found this ready made roman shade option from West Elm.
No.10: This kilim rug bring everything together and in my opinion is completely global and girly.
