HOW-TO-MAKE-AN-EASY-DIY-OUTDOOR-MOVIE-SCREEN-WITH-STAND

Fall is the perfect season to host an outdoor movie night in your backyard! It’s that time of year when outdoor furniture is still outside and it gets dark earlier than the summer which means your little kiddos can enjoy the movie night as well. It’s so nice to transform your backyard with cozy blankets, […]

round up of budget friendly bar carts

Can you believe it’s already November? Before we know it Thanks No. 1 Modern bar cart with patterned sides that looks great as is, but would also look amazing painted a pop of color! Plus it’s only $157. No. 2 This lucite bar cart is a personal favorite of mine. Look at those chic lines! […]

For the longest time our backyard was mainly just grass and a little small area where we laid down some pavers so that we could set out a little plastic table/chairs during the summer. Not exactly ideal for entertaining. For the past couple of years we have wanted to build a deck and enjoy the […]

{Image via Domino} This chilly weather has me very thankful that we ended up with house that had a fire place. I love lighting it up (ok so Jon does the lighting), grabbing some hot chocolate and stack of magazines and just relaxing by the warmth with the pups at my feet. Some accessories for […]

Baby it’s cold outside…

Can you believe the papparazzi caught me out Christmas Shopping yesterday? Ok so it’s not me, but Kate Beckinsale. Ah a girl can dream. I so wonder who she is gifting all of those goodies too! Seeing that picture yesterday reminded me that Calypso has a great home section full of gift gifts for the holidays! […]

Christmas by Calypso

For some time I have been receiving Town & Country magazine. To be quite honest I think it came as a package deal with another one of my shelter magazines and I was never really excited when it arrived. Sometimes it never even got opened, but when Stephen Drucker (formerly of House Beautiful) took over […]

Stocking Stuffer: Town & Country

I think it’s official. I’m head over heels in love with elephants. I can’t help it. I don’t think I will ever get over them and I find it hard/almost impossible to resisting purchasing them when I see them. Especially when they are on sale! I picked up 3 of these beauties last week for […]

Ellie Love!

I kicked off my weekend with a trip to Eataly! There has been a lot of buzz about this new eatery/marketplace and I was afraid that it wouldn’t live up to the hype, but it didn’t disappoint. It’s a little confusing at first, because there are many different stations, but once you loop around it […]

Weekend Recap: European vacation (sort of)

So excited for the final count down till the weekend. My office windows are currently being installed! I wasn’t too happy when they gave me 9am-6pm as my time frame for installation, but we have men at work as I type!  To occupy my time I’ve been devouring the latest issue of Lonny: My favorite […]

White Christmas

I have a new client. We met about 2 weeks ago and I must say that while I’m normally really calm about the first consult this client was giving me butterflies. Why you may ask? Well, this client is on the cusp of turning 10 and her birthday gift is a new room designed by […]

Client Inspiration…

ON THE BLOG

My living room is one of the rooms that evolved drastically from when we first moved one. Originally I painted the walls chocolate brown and did accents of white, blue and orange. That lasted maybe 2 years.

Our dining room sat empty for months. Okay maybe it was empty for just a handful of weeks and then we couldn’t take it anymore and put in a folding table and plastic outdoor chairs, but in my mind that was still empty.

On the main floor of our house we have a Florida room. Being that it’s a Florida room it is a considered a 3 season room, because there is no heat in the room. The previous owners used it as an indoor patio with outdoor furniture and it looked like this when we moved in.
