Hi All,
Hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed some time with your Dads. We planned on having the Father’s day celebration for both of our families at our house. That meant that Saturday was a jam packed day of cleaning both the inside and outside of the house. Not fun, but it needed to get done.
Since there was rain on the forecast we decided to do dinner indoors, which meant that Sunday morning I was searching my fabric closet to see what I could come up for my dining table look.
In a matter of seconds I found some navy/white fabric and a long random curtain panel from IKEA.
I snipped away the taps on the curtain:
The table quickly went from this:
To this:
Another peek into my supply closet and I found my cute elephant teapot and my floral arrangements quickly came to life:
Of course we still needed to set the table and that’s were my fun Kate Spade plates came into action:
Love me some polka dots and stripes:
The food was great and the company was even better.
I hope you had a lovely weekend. Did you celebrate at your own home or did you get to be guests elsewhere?

What a whimsical space! Your dining room makes me so happy, Camila! Hope you had a great weekend with your dads!
I’ve said this a million times, but I just love your style. It’s so nice to see someone who loves to mix color and pattern as much as I do. Beautiful table!

I love the table…and am especially jealous of your Kate Spade plates!!!
I am curious how you originally painted your chairs? Can you give me details on the process? Thanks!
Hi Jen,
I just did a light sanding job on them to get rid of the shine, then a primer coat with spray primer, color coat with Kryon spraypaint and then wipe on poly to protect the finish.
