How pretty are these new colored burlap lampshades?
Wouldn’t they take your plain jane lamp base to another level. Love this look. I’m not in love with their $79price tag. $79 isn’t an extremely high price, but I think you can easily recreate the look for less.

Step 1: Pick up plain white drum shade. This 16″ shade is only $13.47.
Step 2: Use spray adhesive to attach colorful burlap {$3.25 a yard}.For a 16″ shade you will only need 1/2 yard. Apparently if you are trying to get a coral shade you can just bleach black burlap and voila coral.
Step 3: Use a glue gun and attach 1/2″ burlap ribbon {$2.85 for a 3 yard bundle} border.
FINISHED for less than $20!

Love this DIY idea! Wondering how it would look in hot pink for a white base I have. Thinking it’s worth a try!
I don’t know about bleaching black burlap, but if you bleach black pants you get nice coral colored sploches!
love this idea!
Love the fabulous colors you found! Isn’t it great to know you can achieve the look, but for SO MUCH less. Thank you for sharing; I’m inspired to change up a few shades I have!
Such a smart solution. Do I sense a DIY in the near future for you?
Thanks for the little tutorial! Those are adorable!
Great idea! I have two white lamps that could use some sprucing up. I’m completing this project.
